The staff vs. Armageddon Sword
The Armageddon Sword is a collectible which unlocks a new weapon for Kid Mystic to wield. Its existence is made known to the player with a conversation from an NPC with Bouaphetta's likeness in one of the hovels.

Psst, Hey... Thousands of years ago, a great hero used a weapon known as the armageddon sword to defeat a monstrous evil. To keep this sword from falling into evil hands, it was broken into four pieces and hidden throughout the land. Four pieces, four chapters... Think about it.
