The Boboli title screen.
Boboli was a game released by Jamul in 1996. Its official title is Boboli: The Mighty Knight. It is a gamelet that works only on DOS, and revolves a mighty knight named Boboli who is on a quest to gain enough experience and spells to defeat the evil Sylabulus. It never really had an ending. Monsters in the game included Globs and Mean Orcs.
Story[]

A higher resolution pre-render from Hamumu's old website
Take on the role of Boboli, the mightiest knight in all the land, as he battles seemingly endless hordes of Globs, Boneheads, and Mean Orcs. Battle the mystical fury of the diabolical wizard Sylabulus himself.[1]
Networking[]
It's one of the few Hamumu titles to actually support multiplayer over the network by virtue of using a null modem cable.
The value in the game lies in the fact that it comes with complete source code and is playable over a "network". However, the only network it works on is one wherein COM1 of one computer is plugged directly into COM2 of the other computer and vice versa (if you don't know what I am talking about, don't worry about it- it's nothing you even want to know about). As far as I know, only one such network exists on Earth, in the Distributed Systems Lab at Cal Poly SLO. But the game can entertain you for five to ten minutes as you discover the wonders of the Tornado spell (I have to say, the Tornado spell is pretty cool), and Summon Golem and the amazing Triple Crossbow.
Trivia[]
- Before Boboli, Sylabulus was also going to be present in 'Mucho Kombat Vs. SPISPOPD'.
The evil wizard Sylabulus comes up with a great idea. He will steal the incredible Sword of Mucho from its display case in The Louvre and use its power to rule the world. This, to him, would seem a perfect end to a wonderful career of villainy and mayhem, not to mention fit in very nicely with the name of the island he calls home.[2]
- Boboli was the first game to introduce the classic Hamumu monster, the bonehead.
