Candles are a major collectible added in Dr. Lunatic: Supreme With Cheese as a nod to Hamumu's SPISPOPD and Amazin' SPISPOPD games.

In SPIPSOPD, the player must collect all candles to complete the level.

Candles are not required to complete levels but are necessary for achieving 100% completion; completing a level without finding all candles will result in the level appearing with a hollow green "X". Candles award the player five points upon collection. Upon collecting the required amount of candles, the player lights up.
Sleepless Hollow[]
In Sleepless Hollow, candles are treated as a collectible item and are scattered throughout the game. Candles be exchanged in the Non-Euclidean Cabin for various helpful items.
